The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai was a surprise favorite of mine that I didn’t discover until last year, but I was glad that I did. Two-dimensional side-scrolling beat-‘em-ups are a personal favorite of mine, which may or may not be a byproduct of the games I grew up with, but I instantly fell in love with the art style and the fast-paced action of Dead Samurai. Last month, West Coast correspondent Chris Park got a chance to sit down with Deep Silver and check out the publisher’s upcoming racer, Nail’d. The high-speed arcade racer from publisher Deep Silver and developer Techland is set for release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC in the fourth quarter of 2010. stalinboxMezmer Games this week announced a new release date for the briefly delayed Stalin vs Martians. The game will be available through GamersGate, Steam, Direct2Drive and Impulse, according to the release.

The title is said to be an arcade-RTS in which gamers take control of the Soviet Union’s Red Army to battle an alien invasion in 1942. For those who haven’t seen it already, watching the trailer below is highly recommended. (more…)

And SFIV is closer to being a direct sequel to Street Fighter II than the alienating Street Fighter III was.
